COMPANY GENERATORS AND SPARE BATTERIES CAN ONLY BE USED ON THE BEACHES, SAND OR DUNES IF KEPT IN THE PROVIDED PACKING CASE / CARRY CASE ANY TRANSGRESSION WILL INCURR A CLEANING CHARGE FOR EACH ITEM. (AED200)

1. CHARGES

Equipment is charged on daily rates, which shall accrue from the time the equipment leaves the rental premises “HOT COLD STUDIO” until its return. Adjustments in charges will be made at the time the equipment is returned, and full rental charges will apply to all damaged equipment until repaired or replaced. After hours and weekend opening for clients require a surcharge of AED 300.

2. INSURANCE

The equipment carries compulsory insurance which is charged at 10% of the full day rental fee. If a half day rental has been pre-arranged, the full day insurance fee will still be charged.

Should damage/theft/loss occur, the excess is payable by the Renter. Excess is charged at 10% of the replacement cost of the item

3. UNINSURED RISKS

• Theft from an unattended vehicle

• Dismantling of any equipment

• Confiscation of equipment

• Loss of data

• Negligent use of equipment – e.g. Use of non inverted generators to power equipment.

4. LOSS OR THEFT

A rental fee will be charged on equipment that is lost or stolen until “ HOT COLD STUDIO” is reimbursed for the full replacement cost of the equipment.

5. DAMAGED AND CLEANING CHARGES

The Renter shall be fully responsible for any and all damages to all equipment hired, irrespective of the course of the damage. Equipment must be returned in the same condition it was in when it was signed out, to avoid damage and/or cleaning charges.

6. SPARE LAMP POLICY

Missing/broken lamps or filaments and/or excessive burn-outs will be charged at 100%

7. EQUIPMENT PERFORMANCE

Qualified staff inspects all equipment before and on return of each rental. The Renter must understand the operation and limitations of the equipment. Failure of such will not be accepted as a reason for non-payment of hiring fees. In the event of equipment failure, “ HOT COLD STUDIO ” at its own discretion, can be held responsible only for the rental charges and not for the related costs.

8. COLLECTION / DELIVERY OF EQUIPMENT

The Renter shall be responsible for collections and returns of the equipment within the date / time agreed upon. Should the Renter be unable to collect/return the equipment timeously and request a courier service, the Renter shall be responsible for all courier / freight costs. Should there be any delays, the Renter shall be held responsible for rental fees and transport charges. Shipping, handling and transport fees are outside our costs.

9. CANCELLATIONS

Should the Renter cancel an order less than 24 (twenty four) hours after scheduled date, a fee pro rata to the confirmed booking date(s) shall be charged and/or loss of reservation privileges will occur.

10. NON SIGNATURE

It is specifically recorded that in the event of the Renter not signing this terms and conditions agreement of the rental, the Renter acknowledges by accepting and utilizing the equipment they accept full responsibility as per the terms and conditions of the agreement as herein even though no physical signature is attached to this agreement.

11. INDEMNITY

The Renter specifically indemnifies “ HOT COLD STUDIO ” against any liability, loss, claim or proceeding of whatsoever nature, whether arising in common law or by statute suffered by the Renter and/or any employees, clients, associated or any affiliated party of the Renter howsoever confirmed.

12. Payment by Cash or Credit Card (all cards @+5%)

13. Account Holders – UAE based Photographers can apply for an account – with 45 days credit terms.
